Why WBGT Monitoring is Required
Singapore’s MOM Workplace Safety and Health Act requires employers to assess and manage heat stress risk for outdoor workers. WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) is the internationally recognised standard measure.
WSH (Heat Stress) Regulations require continuous WBGT monitoring and documented rest-work schedules for outdoor workers during hot weather.
When WBGT crosses thresholds, the system triggers alerts — via LED display on site and email/SMS notifications — so supervisors can act immediately.
